We started our daughter on solids right around the 6 months mark. She was a great eater and willing to eat, or at least try, anything. The majority of her diet is whole, real food. But let’s be honest for any busy parent quick and easy has its place too. And since we tend to spend a lot of time away from home, especially in the summer, we rely on packaged snacks. Luckily there are a lot of great brands out there that you can feel good about giving to your kid. Here is a list of our favorite brands (in no particular order).
White Leaf Provisions
We love this brand. It was started by a husband and wife and is a small family-run business. She has always loved all of their pouches and their applesauce. Clean, organic ingredients and from regenerative farms. They are always releasing new products and we are excited to see this brand continue to grow!
Serenity Kids
Early on these pouches were a massive hit, but somewhere along the line she just stopped eating these mostly veggie blends. It is unfortunate because these are such a great option to be sure your child is getting lots of nutrients and varied flavors. She also would never eat any of the meat blends, but she has never eaten any meat that we tried! I would definitely give the meat and salmon a try with your kid. We love the puffs too, they are great for kids of all ages.
Once Upon a Farm
I would prefer not to admit just how many of these pouches our daughter has consumed in her lifetime, but it is a lot. We have the caps to prove it, which can be reused in some fun projects by the way. Now a lot of parents might say these have too much sugar, but we personally am not worried about sugar from organic fruit. I will leave that up to you. Once Upon a Farm makes a ton of great snacks for kids. Always double-check the ingredients for natural flavors or seed oils. The one con is that the pouches need to be refrigerated. Sunnie
This is a newer brand and great for toddlers. Even better it’s great for us adults too, we love a snack that can be shared. This is one of our new go-to favorites for lunches, travel, and on the go. The snack packs have protein and fat, something that a lot of other snacks lack.
