In our old apartment we had a faux leather couch that we are not 100% sure where it came from. Needless to say, a new sectional was something we were really excited about. We knew we wanted something low and modern that would not break up our small space. And it goes without say that something low or non-toxic was of upmost importance to us too. We also didn’t want to blow the budget. After a lot of research we settled on the Blumen Chaise Sectional from Medley Home. We love how deep the seating is and that the dimensions are semi-custom to fit our tight space. Medley has tons of fabrics options with various certifications and for the fill of the couch you can choose latex (preferred) or foam. We ordered some free swatches and settled on Macarena Smoke Fabric, a light grey with some texture. They have a dedicated team that was very helpful in making our fabric decision. We even emailed photos of our other finish choices so she could help us choose, this gave us peace of mind when ordering sight unseen. If you are looking for something a bit more trendy when it comes to color or fabric, there is also an option to use your own fabric! With this sofa being in our main living space we knew it was best to keep it neutral. When our couch did arrive it was absolutely perfect. One thing to note is to plan ahead, their couches are made-to-order so expect shipping to take at least a few weeks. I ordered well in advance of our house being finished, probably too early but luckily we had the garage to store it.
If we did it again would we buy another couch from Medley Home? 100% yes.
We absolutely love our choice, it sees a lot of use and is holding up very well. We have had a few spills and as long as we are quick to clean it have only needed warm water and some light wiping to remove the stain. The location of our couch means that it gets a lot of direct sunlight and we have zero fading. For the least toxic couch choose their organic latex for the fill.
