A Firm Mattress is Best to Support Your Injury

In 2015, Cody broke his back and neck in a dirt bike accident. The mattress he sleeps on plays an important role in how his body feels, it can make or break the healing process. Most people think that a soft mattress would be best for an injury, a bad back, or any lingering ailment like his, but in reality your spine needs support. In our heads, the thought of a cloud like bed to fall into each night does sound dreamy, but it simply isn’t realistic. Our bodies, recovering from injury or not, need to be properly supported and the best thing you can do is to get a mattress that offers firm support. That, for us, is the appeal of an Avocado Green Mattress.

Comfortable and Organic Certified

The fact that Avocado is certified organic makes it the obvious choice for our home. We, in fact, have four in our home and the oldest is over five years old. It is a full size (the Green with pillowtop) that we slept on in our tiny apartment for 2 years and now is in Weslie’s room. It still looks brand new. (Always purchase a mattress protector, it will add a layer of protection and makes sense with such a big investment.) The one thing to keep in mind with any new mattress is that it can take time to adjust. Our first avocado took us a few days and when we got a new california king mattress for our bedroom in the house, it took Cody a few days to adjust. On occasion when we are on vacation for longer than a week it might take a day or two to adjust again. I blame this mostly on the terrible memory foam mattresses you often find in airbnbs. I honestly do not understand how people sleep on memory foam, it is so hot and you sink into them, no thank you. Almost 6 years with our Avocado mattress and we both couldn’t be happier with our choice. We would and do recommend an Avocado mattress to everyone.
